Kris Buckle video blog No:4 ‘Restless’ #krisbucklesongblog

29 October 2018

Welcome to part 4 of my video song blog in which I’m taking a journey through songs I’ve written over time starting from the early 90s somewhere. This one featured on my first album ‘Birds that fly and other things’ but was actually around long before that release in 2008.

Hope you like, once again feel free to comment here on my YouTube page, what ever your thoughts.

Thanks

Gig at the Dunsborough Tav this Thusday the 11th of July 8pm till 11pm

02 July 2013

Dunsborough Tav every Thursday this month, the first one being this Thursday the 4th. I’m on 8pm till 11pm. These bookings I’ll mostly be playing cover material but if you’re there and request originals all the better for me.

Dunsborough WA 6

Get yourselves out this coming Thursday folks and come down to The Dunsborough Tavern aka The Three Bears. I plan this to be a big night packed with old and new original material plus some covers here and there. For those who don’t know, The Three Bears (named after a surf break) has always been a great spot for live music and is located in the very cool Dunsborough town which is popular with surfers and backpakers. The venue recently had some changes made to their Thursday night and I’ve been given an opportunity to build the night throughout this month.  Come and enjoy the atmosphere!!

I have 5 free copies of my first album ‘Birds that fly and other things’ to give away to arrivals that mention the code word WINGS! Come early to avoid missing out.

Here’s a track from the album up for grabs.

Hey guy’s,
Welcome to part 10 of my video song blog where I’m journeying through songs I’ve written over the years. This one’s from the early 2000/late 90s. It’s called Nu-Fella and I guess has a Beck vibe going on. Anyway, hope you enjoy and make sure you grab a glass to toast the 10th episode with me:)

Kris Buckle song blog part 7 ‘Waiting in Line’ #krisbucklesongblog

11 April 2013

Hey guys,

Sorry about the delay with this one but between moving house and destroying my laptop I’ve been a bit tied up. This track is called ‘Waiting in Line’ and was written around 1997. When I performed this track at college we had a special guest by the name of Bernard Purdie who’s recorded drums with the likes of Aretha Franklin, Gil Scott-Heron, Isaac Hayes, Cat Stevens,The Rolling Stones and Miles Davis among many others. Need I say more, the guys had an amazing career. He sat in on our performances and judged each of us.

He gave he’s honest opinion on people’s work and some of it wasn’t nice but he loved this track and got up and played it with me. It was a real moment for me, I have the recording on cassette and the guy has an exceptional groove without doubt!!!

Thanks
